LS1 408 ci Twin Turbo makes 1013 rwhp!
We strapped an HSV VX R8 408ci Twin Turbo to our Mainline Dyno, with the
addition of some ERC A8-C race fuel and a pcm re-calibration using EFI Live we
managed to push the power up to 1013 RWHP!
Still using the factory cast manifolds and camshaft, it proves that it's not
rocket science! Next session will be with the exhaust removed, from experience
we will gain a further 30-50 rwhp.
The lead sled hits the track
We took the VT Calais twin turbo out to the track for some testing, we had some
custom made 35 spline stub axles and spool, we also fitted a pair of heavy duty
drive shafts.
The car set a new personal best of 9.3 @ 152mph with a 1.45 60 ft
that's with a race weight of 1840kg! Unfortunately the transmission gremlins
came out to play which ended the night a little early.
The car has set a new personal best with a 9.11 @ 153mph, stay tuned for
an 8 second pass.
The 408ci van is alive! Finally we got the Mitsubishi Express van up and running. The motor previously made 620 hp 585 ftlbs of torque on Dave Handleys engine dyno. The van owner Con Pakos was over the moon with the results, so was the engine builder Elvio Gonzalez. So i strapped it on our Mainline 2wd dyno for quick tune up on pump fuel with a 5000 rpm converter and street exhaust, resulting in 470 rwhp. Stay tuned for track results. Check out the Videossection to see the van in action on the dyno! Thanks for reading.
